About

From increasing sales for a bedding company (7x ROAS to be exact) to securing funding for an animal charity, I’ve a proven track record of working with SMEs and non-profits to raise brand awareness, build audiences and promote leads and sales.

This could be in the form of short, snappy ad copy (‘Make hot summer nights a breeze’) or an article about pioneering artist Goldie (music remains my first love).

I write all-sorts – although blogs, ad copy, brochures and email marketing prevail – and over the past five years I’ve written ten non-fiction books, published by Bonnier Books.

These include: The Little Book of Bridgerton – ‘Trust us when we say you won't be able to put the book down!’ (SweetyHigh.com) and the Ultimate Football Heroes’ series of female footballers – ‘Written in fast-paced, action-packed style these books are perfect for all the family to collect and share.’ (Read it Daddy).

I've worked with a variety of individuals and brands to help them tell their story in a way that will resonate with the audience they want to reach - from a baby boomer recounting her childhood growing up in poverty, to a non-profit that supports female musicians.

I've also written news pieces and articles for publications across the consumer and B2B sectors that include Prima, The Independent and Professional Beauty.

In addition, I give presentations at schools covering the topics in my books as well as the general topic of writing and being an author. Elisa Irwin, a teacher at Poverest Primary School in Kent said:

Charlotte visited our school to share her fabulous new book on Dina Asher-Smith.
Her presentation was inspiring and motivational with the children captivated from the moment she began.

Speaking to the children afterward, they were filled with awe at having the opportunity of meeting a real author and being able to ask questions about the process of writing the biography.

Charlotte was an inspirational speaker who clearly was a passionate writer. I would highly recommend having Charlotte visit your school as there is nothing better than real-life learning.

Jim Sells, Senior Programme Manager for Sport and Alternative Provision at the National Literacy Trust, said:

An absolute treat to work with Charlotte – both for the pupils that she inspires to get writing, and get reading, and for us at the National Literacy Trust as she is a true professional.

Over the summer she delivered an online event with fellow footy author Matt Oldfield, and BBC presenter Ben Shires, to over a thousand pupils, creating a brilliantly fun, engaging and interactive workshop for them to enjoy. Quite a skill to pull off online.

The theme she often works with is "heroes" – tying in with her own writing – and it's great to see how she helps pupils to think creatively, as well as see the heroes in themselves. Charlotte’s workshops guide pupils to see the different types of heroes in our society, and helps them to come up with their own ideas and engage in their own writing.

We also worked with Charlotte at Watford FC, where she worked alongside coaches from the Club Community Organisation, signing her books and delivering more quality presentations and workshops for over 100 pupils.
