Reviews
Length good, quality great and a good amount of Football. Five stars any day.
This is an excellent introduction to biography for young children. Browne's writing helps readers to imagine how Marta felt when she overcame obstacles and achieved her goal; they get to 'live' her story rather than just read about it.
The girls were on the edges of their seats at the end of each chapter - there were quite often cries of 'can we have just one more chapter!' This was so well written that we we’re going to include biographies in more class texts.
Marta is a really inspirational book that would probably appeal to girls and boys who are interested in football.
